PIC is a Melbourne based consulting firm which consults exclusively to the public sector in Australia and New Zealand. Since incorporation in 1995, PIC has established a reputation as a leading provider of sensitive probity investigation consulting services to the Governments of Australia, New Zealand and the State Governments of Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.

PIC has successfully completed numerous assignments involving the conduct of background checks on bidders for sensitive Government contracts and Public Private Partnership (PPP) type projects. A large number of these checks have been historically undertaken by PIC on major construction, project management, private operators, outsourcing companies and associated entities which are likely to be bidders for new Public Private Partnership contracts or Government licences. As a result of this extensive experience, PIC brings to this critical task:
  • A known track record for the delivery of high quality and confidential probity investigation and related services on a timely, cost effective basis;
  • A detailed knowledge of the construction, private prison, gambling, water and transport industries in Australia and a large database of historic and current potential probity issues, which will result in a prompt and cost effective solution to your background probity investigation problem;
  • A good working knowledge of Public Private Partnership guidelines and procedures gained from work on a majority (11 out of 20) of Partnerships Victoria projects contracted over the past decade;
  • No actual or perceived conflicts of interest due to PIC’s policy of only accepting public sector work;
  • An established network of contacts at law enforcement and regulatory agencies which enables access to confidential information with appropriate legal consents;
  • Experienced Director led teams working “hands on” without any delegation to junior, inexperienced staff; and
  • A proven set of methodologies which have been successfully implemented over many years of providing probity investigation and background checking solutions to public sector clients.
     
REPORTING
Subject to written acceptance of any proposal, PIC will undertake to complete the above inquiries and supply a comprehensive report within 14 days. This report will include detailed appendices supporting the conclusions reached.
